# Hana Motors — Japanese used cars, bought at auction and shipped to you

Hana Motors is a small Japan-based exporter of used cars. We buy at Japanese auctions on the buyer's behalf, translate the auction sheet, inspect, ship and send the export documents to the buyer's port. ## How it works
1. **Tell us what you want** — Pick a car from our stock, or give us the model, year range and budget. Two minutes on the form or one WhatsApp message.
2. **We find it and you approve** — We send you the auction sheet, photos and a firm FOB price. Nothing is bought until you say yes.
3. **We buy, inspect, ship and deliver the papers** — We bid at the Japanese auction, run the pre-shipment inspection your country requires, ship to your port and hand your clearing agent the export certificate and bill of lading.

## How you pay
Nothing is due until you approve a car.
1. **You approve — nothing due** — We send the auction sheet, photos and a firm FOB price. You say yes or no.
2. **Deposit** — Paid by bank transfer once you approve. It confirms your order and lets us bid.
3. **We buy and inspect** — We win the car at auction, run the pre-shipment inspection and send you the report.
4. **Balance before loading** — We send a written invoice in USD. The car ships once the balance is paid.
5. **Documents follow the car** — Export certificate, bill of lading, inspection certificate and invoice go to you and your clearing agent the week the ship sails.
> If we do not win the car at auction, your deposit is returned in full or moved to the next car — your choice.

## What you receive with every car
- **Auction sheet** — The Japanese inspector's condition report, sent before you pay a deposit. We explain the grade and every mark in plain English.
- **Inspection certificate** — The pre-shipment inspection your country requires, issued before loading.
- **Export certificate** — Proves the car is deregistered in Japan and cleared for export.
- **Bill of lading** — Your clearing agent needs this to release the car at the port.
- **Invoice** — The amount you paid, for your customs declaration.

## Questions
### Which countries do you ship to?
Anywhere with a RoRo or container service from Japan. We have import guides for the markets we know best (see Where we ship); for others, tell us your port and we quote.

### I can't read an auction sheet. Is that a problem?
No. We translate every sheet — grade, notes and diagram marks — into plain English before you decide.

### Why not just buy from a big exporter?
You can, and for 200 cars a month you should. For one car, or five, the big names give you a web form and a queue. We give you a small team that answers your messages, bids for you and stays with the car until it is on the ship.

### Do you buy the cars yourselves?
Yes. We buy the car ourselves at the Japanese auction — our bid, our name on the auction invoice. We inspect it and ship it. From deposit to your port you deal with us directly, not an agent.

### How do I pay?
A deposit once you approve the car and the price, the balance before shipping. We invoice in USD.

### Is the car inspected?
Yes. Every car gets the pre-shipment inspection your country requires, and you see the auction sheet and photos before we bid.

### How long does it take?
Typically 6–10 weeks from auction win to arrival, depending on the destination and sailing schedules.

### Do you show prices?
Yes. Every car in stock shows a live FOB price in USD. Freight to your port is quoted on request.
