Privacy policy

Hana Motors is a Japan-based used-car exporter. This page explains what we collect when you use hanamotors.jp, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Short version: we use your details to reply to your request and arrange your car, nothing else.
What we collect
When you send a quote request or a vehicle inquiry: your name, WhatsApp number, shipping destination, the models, budget and other preferences you type in, and optionally your email.
Technical details of that request: the time, the page it came from and any campaign tags in the link you arrived on (so we know which advert brought you).
When you message us on WhatsApp: whatever you send us there, held in WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
Anonymous usage data: which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked, through Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not use this to identify you.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, source and quote the car you asked for, and — if you go ahead — buy, inspect, ship and document it.
To send you the auction sheet, photos, invoice and shipping documents for your own order.
To understand which pages and adverts bring genuine buyers so we spend our small budget sensibly.
We do not sell or rent your details, send newsletters, or add you to broadcast lists.
Where it is stored and who sees it
Requests are stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare and a copy is emailed to us through ZeptoMail (Zoho). Only Hana Motors staff can read them, behind a login.
Your details are shared with third parties only where needed to complete your order: the shipping line, the inspection company, and the clearing agent you name at the destination port.
Analytics data is processed by Google (Google Analytics) and Cloudflare. These providers act as our processors and may store data outside Japan.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become an order: up to 24 months, so we can follow up when a matching car appears, then deleted.
Orders: for as long as Japanese tax and export record-keeping rules require (currently seven years), because the invoice and export certificate carry your name.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies for browsing. The form uses a Cloudflare Turnstile check to block bots, and Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits. Blocking cookies in your browser does not stop the site or the form from working.
Your choices
Ask us on WhatsApp to see, correct or delete what we hold about you and we will do it within 14 days, unless an order's records must be kept by law.
You can message us on WhatsApp instead of using the form at any time.
